Keeping it WILD – Proudly South African Adventure Podcast
Love our trails partnered up with Telltale.Media to produce a local podcast that can compete internationally with production and quality, Keeping it WILD.
Blake Dyason founded Love our trails in 2015 hosting regular trail cleanups and activation as well as public speaking with the aim to connect people to nature in a way that will encourage trail users to care for and protect these wild spaces. Like many others, lock down put a sudden stop to the great work and awareness Love our trails were creating. We saw a 500+ % growth in trail activity globally and Cape Town is no different.
It is heartwarming to see thousands of new trail uses getting outdoors and being active but it comes with its challenges. Litter, Graffiti, parking, user conflict and erosion to name a few. There was never a better time or a greater need to start a podcast for the outdoor community.
Blake decided to start a podcast to share stories of people doing amazing things in wild spaces. The goal of this podcast is to share stories that will get people talking, connect people to nature and hopefully educate people about our environment and how we can play a role in protecting it.
But this podcast needed to be something special, just because we live in South Africa doesn’t mean we can’t produce world class content. I wanted to give our listeners an experience. No shortcuts, we wanted the best quality production that could compete on a world stage and South Africans could be proud of. It was this goal that led me to partnering with Telltale.Media. When you hear the quality of the production you will know why they are the best in the business and they are based in Cape Town.
Keeping it Wild releases a new episode every second Thursday and is available on all the podcast platforms or online at Keeping it WILD. Hosted by Blake Dyason and produced by Telltale.media.
