Every year, I look forward to the Cape Town Adventure Film Festival — and this year, I’m more excited than ever! As outdoor enthusiasts, this festival speaks to everything we love: adventure, community, and stories that remind us why we do what we do.

Now in its 5th year, the Cape Town Adventure Film Festival, presented by ORMS, returns from 17 October to 1 November 2025, promising to be the biggest and boldest yet. Over 15 adventure-packed nights, audiences can experience more than 50 films — from global award-winners to heartfelt local stories — alongside 20 guest speakers, community nights, and some epic giveaways.

But what makes this festival truly special is that it’s more than just a film festival. It’s a celebration of our shared love for the outdoors — a place where runners, climbers, bikers, filmmakers, conservationists, and everyday adventurers come together to be inspired. It’s where we remember that adventure is not just about summits or records; it’s about connection — to nature, to ourselves, and to each other.

This year’s festival features three headline films that you absolutely don’t want to miss:

Girl Climber — The incredible story of professional climber Emily Harrington, pushing her limits to become one of the world’s best climbers, period.

Women and the Wind — A breathtaking voyage across the North Atlantic with three women chasing ocean plastic — and discovering much more than they expected.

Anytime — A Red Bull Media House masterpiece that follows 15 of the world’s top freeride mountain bikers redefining their sport.

And that’s not all — there are also community nights themed around the sports and causes we love: Bike, Climb, Conservation, Run, Surf, and Women. It’s a chance to meet your tribe, share stories, and celebrate the adventures that shape us.

As Love Our Trails, we’re proud to support this incredible event. It’s close to our hearts — not only because it inspires us, but because it celebrates the people and places that make our outdoor community so special. And this year, we’re especially stoked to see a few familiar Cape Town trail legends featured on screen!
